Dear KGC Compliance Officer,
On 2026-04-14 the Commission asked me to let it know if I received a response directly from the operator. I am writing to report what has happened since the Commission's reply of 2026-04-28, and to ask the Commission three questions on its own file.
On 2026-04-28 the Commission relayed Playground Poker Club's position that my situation "is not a formal or permanent ban" and that my access "has been temporarily restricted so they can speak with you and resolve the issue." I wrote to the two addresses the Commission provided the same day. On 2026-04-30 Playground's Chief Compliance Officer replied, offering to arrange a call. I accepted the same day and proposed three afternoon windows in the week of 5 to 8 May 2026. No reply to those dates, or to any later message, has been received. No conversation has taken place. Since the Commission's reply, three sanctioned tournament series have run at the venue with the restriction in force: the WSOP Circuit (10 to 25 May 2026), the WSOP Super Circuit Canada (26 August to 12 September 2026), and, before that, the WPT Global Winter Classic in January. The MSPT Canadian Poker Championship (1 to 12 October 2026) and a further WSOP Circuit series (2 to 16 November 2026) are now published on the venue's calendar.
I would be grateful if the Commission could answer three questions from its own records under the Regulations concerning Poker Rooms:
1. Under section 183, did the licence holder advise the Commission in writing of a temporary or permanent ban concerning me, and if so on what date? 2. Under section 185, has the Commission reviewed the facts and circumstances of the banishment and decided whether they were sufficiently serious, and what was the outcome? 3. Under section 235, what is the result of my complaint of 2026-04-14, and has that result been communicated to the licence holder?
I also ask the Commission to obtain from its licensee a written answer to one question: will my access be restricted for the WSOP Circuit series beginning 2 November 2026, yes or no?
The conversation the licensee described to the Commission remains welcome. I am available on Tuesday 2026-09-29 or Thursday 2026-10-01, between 16:00 and 18:00 Eastern, by telephone or video, or in person at the venue at a time of the licensee's choosing before 1 October. The Commission is welcome to attend or to convene the conversation itself. No conditions are attached.
A reply within ten business days, by 2026-10-06, would allow the November question to be settled before that series begins.
Thank you for the Commission's continued attention to this file.
